Nonomura Yasuhiko NONOMURA Yasuhiko is the Head of U.S. operations for a major Japanese publication. During his career, he has worked in London, Singapore, and New York.

"When I sing, I forget everything else. There's no time to worry about work. That's the good part – it's a form of stress release."




Yanagimoto Yutaka YANAGIMOTO Yutaka works for a small firm with only one other colleague in America. A newlywed, he left his wife behind in Japan because she wanted to continue her career there.

He is one of the members who never misses weekly rehearsals - and the dinner and drinks that follow. "In New York, that's the only time that I can have dinner with someone else."



Brian Yukio Kubo Brian Yukio KUBO is a retired senior in his 70’s. He came to the US when he was 25 and has lived here ever since.

He hadn’t had a chance to listen to Japanese songs for a very long time until he happened to find the men’s choir singing at a charity concert in a local church in his neighborhood.




Inoue Makoto INOUE Makoto, a bank officer and married father of two children, used to work in an office located on the 90th floor of the World Trade Center. He felt immense gratitude toward the firefighters who saved his life and wanted to give something back to Americans.

By joining the choir, he is able to contribute through the many volunteer concerts in local hospitals and schools.



Kimura Tatsuya KIMURA Tatsuya works for a pharmaceutical company. When he was assigned to come to New York, he decided to bring his wife and 6-year-old daughter with him to the US.

He treasures his daughter and is concerned about her struggle to adapt to American culture.
