Director/Producer/Camera: Reina Higashitani
Based in New York City, Reina Higashitani is currently working as a producer for non-profit media center, Downtown Community Television Center. Her first independent feature length documentary Shall We Sing? has been broadcast nationwide on PBS and won the Excellence Award at the Tokyo Video Festival among others. She is also the associate producer of work-in-progress feature documentary "KUSAMA - Princess of Polka Dots" by Heather Lenz. Her recent camerawork credit also includes "The Sperm Whale Mystery" with German director Volker Barth, scheduled to broadcast on ARTE.
A scholar of film, Reina is a frequently published film critic, writing reviews and essays for newspapers and magazines including Marie Claire Japan. In addition, she is often involved in programming film festivals and translating works Japanese films for US distribution. Reina received her Master's Degree in Cinema Studies from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

Naomi Mizoguchi has created over 100 films and videos for local governments, commercial companies, broadcast companies, and independent groups in Japan. After graduating from sound and music school, she started working for a video production company. From 1996, she has been working as a freelance director as well as an editor, focusing on documentaries.
After moving to New York City in 2004, Naomi started working as a freelance editor at DCTV (Downtown Community Television Center). She has worked on short as well as feature documentaries. She has also assisted in the translation of productions for NHK, the largest public broadcaster in Asia.
Currently she is working to establish a not-for-profit organization to connect and benefit people in various parts of the world through video-making.
